The Norwegian Debt Collectors Association
The Norwegian Debt Collectors Association was established in 1981 by central companies in the Norwegian collection market. These people did foresee what problems and development that would take place, and saw a clear need for a gathered business in the years to come.
The work with a new collection law and acts, the use of a supervision authority, demands for collection license, were just some of the items which the association had to deal with in this period . The results has been accomplished - thanks to hard work. NIF will in the future uphold the awareness of its responsibility - which is confirmed by our aim paragraph:
«NIF will be a effective organisation of interest for the collective business, which will in power of its knowledge and size be the only natural co-operative partner for the government, the media and the society in general. As a representative for a gathered business, NIF will stand for high credibility via actions and activities .»
The Norwegian Debt Collectors Association is based in Sandefjord . We have an active board and a full-time employed general secretary who covers the whole country.
